The race is sanctioned by the Ontario Marathon Canoe Racing Association and serves as a world team qualifier for the International Canoe Federation Marathon World Championships.  The 19th ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships take place in October 2011 in Singapore, at the Singapore Marina Bay.  For more information on the World Championships, please visit http://canoemarathon2011.org/.
